Dionne Barber, born 1983 London, now lives and works in Oxford.
Dionne studied Fine Art Painting at Cheltenham School of Art and now works as a freelance artist. Her practice focuses on working with others, sharing skills and facilitating projects for people to express themselves through paint. The most important thing for Dionne is for participants of her workshops to come away with a new and interesting experience.
Dionne is an experienced community artist; and has worked on major projects ranging from working with disadvantaged teenagers to running family events. Recent projects include “The Exploring Art Season; Drawing/Painting & Sculpture” at The University of Oxford Harcourt Arboretum, “Escapism II” working with young homeless people and Adults with Learning Disabilities resulting in an exhibition at The Natural History Museum, and The “My Oxford” John Radcliffe Hoardings mural project.
